PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS

• LS200 is a friable metal bond product with irregular shaped crystals. This material features an excellent price/quality ratio for some specific non-demanding metal bond applications. Available in sizes from 30 mesh and smaller.
  
  

• LS220 consists of semi blocky, angular shape crystals allowing good bond retention with self sharpening characteristics. Like LS200, LANDS can supply this material in sizes coarser than 40/50 mesh for applications where natural diamond grits are used, as in metal bonds and electroplating.
  
  

• LS230 is suitable for most metal bond grinding operations. This regular shaped, medium tough diamond is ideal for high stock removal and good surface finishing. The LS230 material is a standard product and offers the widest variety of application.
  
  

• LS240 and LS250 consists of specially selected crystals having a higher bulk density. The friability is lower than for LS230, so it will require harder bonds and will be used for the grinding of slightly more wear resistant materials. LS250 is recommended where increased power is used and continuous cutting is required, avoiding diamond glazing.
  
  

• LS260 consists of a premium strong and blocky material, for use in   tough applications. These strong, blocky crystals will hold up under severe working conditions having a low rate of fracture during the grinding process.
  
  

• LS270 and LS290 are specialty products, extremely blocky, for use in the most toughest applications. For grinding and polishing of the hardest material, like granite. Even used in roller dresser applications.
  
  
  

APPLICATIONS

The 200-series is designed for processing a variety of materials, such as:
glass polycrystalline products marble granite
ceramics reinforced plastics ferrite
crystal rubber compounds graphite

TREATED PRODUCTS

Upon request, all the products in the 200-series can undergo a special surface treatment which will improve their suitability

use in electroplated tools. These treated synthetic diamond types are designated by the suffix "E", for example LS230E.

SPECIAL APPLICATIONS

For special applications, LANDS Superabrasives supplies a natural diamond grit, consisting of well shaped strong crystals, featuring an excellent bond retention. Type LSNPW is available in all US Mesh (and FEPA) sizes from 80/100 down to 400/500 US Mesh.
