LANDS Superabrasives supplies a CBN (cubic boron nitride) product. The material has a monocrystalline structure, and is engineered to withstand temperatures up to 1400 °C.

PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS.

• BN2000 (black) sharp, irregular and angular.  
• BN200V (black) monocrystalline, strong, yet friable crystal, engineered for use in vitreous bonds.
• BN2500 (black) medium strength, angular, sharp edges, high thermally stable (vitreous bonds)
• AN2000 (amber) angular, irregular, friable, high strength (metal bond)
• BN3000 (black) blocky, thermally stable, sharp crystals.
• AN3000 (amber) blocky, very high strength, thermally stable
• AN4000 (amber) very high strength, fully formed crystals (metal bond)
• BN5000 (dark brown) irregular monocrystalline, sharp edges and highly thermal stable, (vitreous and metal bonds)

• GN5000 (gold, dark brown) monocrystalline, fully formed crystals, high thermal stability, (metal bond)
   
• BN2006N, AN2006N, BN2506N, BN3006N, AN3006N, AN4006N, BN5006N, GN5006N
  All above products are available coated with 60% nickel base alloy in order to improve the bond retention in resin bonds. This coating will also provide much better heat dissipation through the bond, increasing tool life significantly.
• BN3000T GN5000T
  BN3000 respectively GN5000 with a titanium coating. It provides a protective coating to improve bond retention and reduce chemical breakdown, increasing tool life under tough conditions.
• AN4006TN GN5007TN
  Dual-metal-coating.
• BN2600 and BN3600 are cubic boron nitride micron powders, engineered to allow a controlled break-down of the crystals providing a steady removal of the material and a fine surface finish as well. Also available with 60% nickel by weight. BN2606N and BN3606N. Coating is available for sizes 8 micron and up. (Lapping, polishing, honing)

AVAILABILITY

LANDS Superabrasives can supply these products in all sizes from 50/60 US Mesh down to 325/400 US Mesh (FEPA B301 to B46).

LANDS Superabrasives type BN2600 and BN3600 is available from stock in standard sizes as listed in chart below:

Other micron sizes from 0 up to 100 micron and all current FEPA sizes (M1 to M63) are available upon request.

BN2606N is available in same standard micron sizes as BN2600, but from 8 micron up.

Upon request, all above products can be treated for use in electroplated tools.
These treated products are designated by the suffix "E", for example BN2000E,
